Using QR Codes

I recently played around with QR codes as I thought it might be a good idea to add them to the accessibility flyer, so that people could scan the QR code for the individual pieces of equipment we have in the accessibility box. The idea being that someone with a smartphone could be taken to a user guide of demonstration video for that piece of equipment.

The Support Centre for Open Resources in Education (SCORE) is inviting applications for Short-Term Fellowships. These are designed for people with little or no experience of Open Educational Resources (OER) and will provide a thorough grounding in both production and use of OER. A Better Mousetrap

A recent request on a listserv I subscribe to wanted to know if there was a free mouse trapping option where the user could select the region for the pointer to be fixed. A couple of suggestions were made, but one was quite old and the other wasn't free. So as this did not seem to be too difficult a task which could fill an hour or so, I decided to see if I could make a better mousetrap than the one I originally posted on my site. The free and open source screen reader Nonvisual Desktop Access has a new update, version 2011.2.
